Market
A market stick is a type of traditional English walking stick or crook with a curved, "nose-in" handle. It was used by farmers to lean on at agricultural markets but is held differently from a regular walking stick, with the user gripping the top of the shank like a thumb stick or trekking pole, rather than resting their hand on the curved part of the handle. Market sticks are often long and sturdy, suitable for support on rough terrain or at country shows.
