Solid English Maple Carving Crook Stick Handle Blank

English Maple wood makes excellent walking stick handles because it is a strong, durable, and resilient hardwood with a beautiful, creamy-white to reddish-brown grain that takes a smooth finish. English Maple gives a highly aesthetic and practical choice for rustic or more formal walking sticks in the UK. All wood used is UK grown and UK sourced.

Product Description

A crafted handle blank made from natural wood enabling the buyer to finish. Each handle is finished 'oversized' to allow for waste material to be removed and attach to a shank up to an inch and a quarter in thickness.

How to use

Simple tools and a bit of work will soon have your handle ready to fit to a suitable shank.

I recommend and use a traditional peg and socket joint. I do not recommend or use threaded rods. Wood is a natural material and should be allowed to move and flex. Using a threaded rod does not allow natural movement of the wood therefore is liable to cause breakout.
